Documents Required

The documents required for recruiting Nepali workers vary depending on the destination country, its applicable laws and regulations, and the procedures of the relevant authorities and diplomatic missions. Requirements may also differ depending on whether the embassy or consular office of the destination country is located in Nepal.

The following documents are generally required for some major employment destinations:

United Arab Emirates (UAE)

For recruitment from Nepal to the UAE, employers or their authorized representatives may be required to provide the following documents:

  • Demand Letter – Attested by the relevant Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi, as applicable.
  • Power of Attorney – Attested by the relevant Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi, as applicable.
  • Agency Agreement – Attested by the relevant Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi, as applicable.
  • Guarantee Letter – Issued on the company's official letterhead, duly signed by an authorized representative and bearing the company seal.
  • Employment Contract – Issued on the company's official letterhead, duly signed by an authorized representative and bearing the company seal.

Qatar

For manpower recruitment to Qatar, the employer may generally be required to submit:

  • Demand Letter – Attested by the relevant Chamber of Commerce in Qatar and the Embassy of Nepal in Qatar, as applicable.
  • Power of Attorney – Attested by the relevant Chamber of Commerce in Qatar and the Embassy of Nepal in Qatar, as applicable.
  • Guarantee Letter – Issued on the company's official letterhead, signed by an authorized representative and bearing the company seal.
  • Employment Contract – Issued on the company's official letterhead, signed by an authorized representative and bearing the company seal.
  • Agency Agreement – Issued on the company's official letterhead, signed by an authorized representative and bearing the company seal.

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)

For recruitment of Nepali workers to Saudi Arabia, the following documents may be required, subject to the applicable rules and approval procedures:

  • Demand Letter – Attested by the relevant Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Power of Attorney – Attested by the relevant Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Consular Letter – Attested by the relevant Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Guarantee Letter – Issued on the company's official letterhead, duly signed by an authorized representative and bearing the company seal.
  • Employment Contract – Issued on the company's official letterhead, duly signed by an authorized representative and bearing the company seal.
  • Agency Agreement – Issued on the company's official letterhead, duly signed by an authorized representative and bearing the company seal.
